Fall Harvest Experience on a Working Farm
Preschool to 5th Grades
• Explore the fall season of agriculture in our "5-acre Educational Corn Maze"
OR enjoy our pre-school size "Hay Bale Maze"
• Learn about growing and harvesting pumpkins on our "Hayrides to the Pumpkin Patch"
(everyone picks a pumpkin from our specially grown student patch)
• Discover where milk comes from at our "Milk-A-Cow" exhibit
• Meet our Farm Animals and learn some fascinating facts about each one
• Plus, take advantage of our Special Exhibit for your Fall Class Photo
(please bring cameras)
• Each class also receives a large-sized pumpkin for the classroom
Cost:
Schools: $6.50 per child, one adult chaperone free per 10 children, teachers and school personnel are free.
Organizations: (Scout Troops, Churches, etc.)
$6.50 per person with one adult free per 10 children

The Sinkland Farms Educational Nature Trail
3rd To 5th Grades
• Five new nature stations!
• Investigate habitats, food sources, and life-cycles in the "Birds and Butterflies" Garden
• Observe composting and rain catchements in action: "Re-use, Recycle, & Conserve" Exhibit
• Experience food at it's source at the "Grow Your Own" Garden
• Learn how native trees clean our air and provide critical habitat for many species in our
"All About Trees" Trail
• Explore the water ecosystem at "The Water's Edge"
• Each station is designed to meet specific goals set forth in Virginia's Science SOL's
